Thats sounds sick, but how much is Trillian? It has quite a complex layout, but allows you to draw waveforms (i think) and envelopes for anything freehand. Some of the 'dirty' triangles and squares sound like nothing else. Its not just a playback engine, its a synth with fm, addative and subtractive synthesis.

It has a huuuuuge( 6dvd's) library of real sampled waveforms from all the classic analogue synths. Windows / PC heads - I already run Fusion to run XP so I can use wave editors and other standalone effects that you can't get in OSX, but I need to use Sytrus with Logic as my DAW, so it doesn't really help.įor what your describing, those 'dirty' analogue warm deep tones, Trillian is right up your street. Really nice, Bell, Organ and I think there was a Guitar waveform in there also? There's a real textural quality, that I think the ES2 really struggles with, it wasn't distortion, I think the sound came from having 'dirty' sines, triangles and squares as the oscillators? Like it had a great deep house/techno sound set, sounds I have played around for ages to get in the ES2. I think it's the ability to draw your own waveforms? I didn't use it only got to watch him playing about with it (I will do in the coming weeks though).
